We are ALL salespeople, whether a typical sales position or any other job - you are a salesperson. If you own a business, you are ALL about sales, right? Here's a quick "Check Up" to see how your business is performing. Take a minute to complete this and the results may surprise you! Steven Covey shares statistics in his book, The 8th Habit in a poll of 23,000 employees. Read the STAT and answer the Question.

     
 
STAT: Only 37 percent of employees said they have a clear understanding of what their organization is trying to achieve and why.

Q: Can your employees vocalize the business mission or goals?

STAT: Only one in five said they had a clear connection between their tasks and their team's/organization's goals (which means that four out of five do not know!).

Q: Have you helped your employees to understand their direct part in the business goals and how it can benefit them? YES NO

STAT: Only 15 percent of employees felt that their organization fully enabled them to execute key goals (thus 85 percent do not!).
